Mrs. Brathwaite' s Classroom Rules | |
1. | Remain in a straight and orderly line while in the hallway and remain silent while in hallways and restrooms. |
2. | Follow all directions, oral and written. |
3. | Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. |
4. | Raise your hand and wait to be called on. |
5. | Remain “on task” and complete all assignments. |
6 7. | Respect the rights, feelings, and property of others. Do not get out of seat without permssion Behavior Plan |
- The first card is Yellow Warning Card. Students who flip one card have received a verbal warning that their behavior is not acceptable.
- The second card is Orange "think about it" card. Students who flip two cards will lose half of recess as a consequence. The orange "think about it card" also nvolves a simple "Stop and think behavior form" that the student fills out explaining what the inappropriate behavior is in his or her own words. The student then signs the sheet and shows it to me.
- The third card is Blue. Students who flip four cards will lose all recess time and have a note sent home. If the note is not returned signed by a parent, the student will have to call the parent in my presence to tell them about the note and their behavior choices that led to flipping 4 cards.
- The fourth card is red. Students who flip five cards are given a referral to the office. After a conference with the principal, Students must work silently all day and are isolated from their peers during lunch. They may also miss out on P.E. and special area instruction (Art, Music, etc.)
Some behaviors (such as fighting, cheating, chronic name-calling, and cursing) may result in an immediate referral to the Office. I reserve the right to decide which behaviors require this action.
Behavior Sheets must be signed by Wednesday
